Léon Sobrie

Léon Sobrie is a PhD student at Ghent University - Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. He has a BSc and MSc in Business Engineering. His research focuses on developing and implementing machine learning models for predicting key metrics (delays, workload, safety) in digital control rooms with the aim of providing real-time analytics to managers. This research is carried out within the framework of the On Track Lab, a multidisciplinary research lab on operational, transport and network analyses, founded by Ghent University, Infrabel and IÉSEG School of Management. He presented his research at international conferences in Belgium, Finland, Greece and the USA, and he co-organized an international research workshop on the ‘Control room of the future: AI-enabled dashboards’.
